National Economic Development Leader Cecilia Harry Joins SizeUp

SizeUp, the leading small business assistance software for economic development organizations, is pleased to announce the appointment of Cecilia Harry to its leadership team as Vice President of Economic Development. Harry will lead growth and strategy to bring SizeUp business intelligence tools to small businesses and entrepreneurs through economic development organizations, chambers of commerce, entrepreneurial ecosystems, and libraries.

“I’m thrilled to join the SizeUp team,” said Harry. “I was a client and champion of SizeUp in two previous roles, so I know first-hand what a game changer SizeUp can be for small businesses, entrepreneurs, and communities seeking opportunities to strengthen economic outcomes. SizeUp gets critical data into the hands of small businesses that need access to strong, reliable information to draw deeper insights and make decisions that reduce risk and improve chances of success, and I get to be a part of supporting hundreds of thousands of small businesses through this new role.”

Harry brings significant experience and recognition in the economic development and chamber of commerce industries to SizeUp. She is a certified economic developer (CEcD), and her leadership experience as a practitioner spans multiple states and markets. Most recently, she served as Chief Economic Development Officer at the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC. She also led a merger between the local economic development and chamber organizations as the first CEO of Envision Greater Fond du Lac (Wisconsin). Harry’s economic development leadership also includes the Greater Omaha, Nebraska region and Leavenworth, Kansas, as well as consulting experience with economic development and chamber clients in 10 states. Harry is one of only a few professionals who have received national 40 Under 40 recognition for both the economic development and chamber of commerce industries.

“Cecilia brings leadership and experience that will shape the future of both SizeUp and economic development,” said Anatalio Ubale, SizeUp Founder and CEO. “Cecilia’s passion to support entrepreneurs and small businesses is unmistakable, and her deep experience as an economic development leader helps relate to needs and challenges of our current and future clients. I’m excited for her partnership to take SizeUp to the next level of success and impact.”

Harry’s experience also involves service on the board of directors for the International Economic Development Council, the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, and the Association of the Chamber of Commerce Executives Foundation. She resides in Colorado Springs, Colorado with her husband, Andrew, and three children. They are outdoor enthusiasts and love using SizeUp’s Shop Local tool when on family adventures.
